US Army Surface To Surface Missiles

v1.0.0 / TOC (2 chapters) / 01 oct 24 / greg goebel

* From early in the Cold War, the US Army worked on battlefield missiles. Early efforts used liquid propulsion, were difficult to handle as well as very inaccurate, and consequently relied on the nuclear option. Solid propulsion was then introduced, making the missiles much easier to handle, with the nuclear option gradually declining in importance as the accuracy improved. Today, the US Army has become heavily dependent on long-range precision strike missiles. This document provides a history and description of the development of America's battlefield missiles.
